Match Pewter is created with a lead-free alloy of tin, copper and antimony that is FDA approved and food safe, so you don't need to worry about toxic chemicals leaking into your food. To truly be called pewter, the alloy must contain at least 92% tin. Match Italian Pewter contains 95% of the highest quality tin, therefore they are stamped with "95" in each Match Italian Pewter creation.
